Group Dog Walks (maximum 4 dogs)
Your dog (or dogs) will be collected and taken to a safe location where they will be exercised for a full hour on or off the lead depending on the individuals’ needs. Only well socialised and friendly dogs, who show no aggression, can be walked on the group dog walks.
Regular dog walks or ad hoc walks can be provided – whichever suits your needs best.
Solo walks
Solo walks are ideal for those dogs that need a little more attention, whether due to nervousness around other dogs, or just need space from other animals. Solo walks can be for 1 hour or 30 minutes and usually originate on a lead from your home.
Please note solo walks are usually either before 10.30am or after 1.30pm.
Forest Adventure Walks
Every now and again dogs like to go for a good long walk to burn off that extra energy they have stored up. Daily exercise is essential for all breeds of dog’s wellbeing but they sure do appreciate an extra-long airing once in a while.
Doggy Runs
Some breeds of dogs love to run. Running uses different muscles to walking and it will increase the dog’s heart rate more which can increase the strength of the dog’s heart and therefore increase their life span. Not all breeds are built for running so a green light will be needed from your vet before the first trip out. Very few dogs would appreciate a full hour run but a combination of walking, sniffing and running can do them the world of good.
Puppy/Elder Dog visits
Puppy home visits are designed to ease the stress of your puppy when left alone for the first time. Clare can create a visiting schedule with you to suit the age of your puppy. These visits will include lots of TLC and puppy play, any accidents cleaned up and toilet breaks. Once the puppy has had all their vaccinations the visits can include walks on the lead from their home.
This service can also be tailored to suit old dogs or those that are recovering from an operation.
Doggy Day Care
We can provide company, TLC and walks for your four legged friend while you are out at work or play. They will be picked up from your home between 9:00-9:30 to come and stay at Clare’s house for the day. Your dog will go on at least one, one hour long walk during the day and any time they are not out and about they will be relaxing in comfort at Clare’s home.
Your dog will then be dropped off either between 14.30 and 15.00 or 17:00 to 17:30, but if you know you will be late home a later time can be arranged.
Limited spaces.
Small Animal Home Visits
Putting a cat in a cat box is no fun for anyone. Cats are creatures of habit and they like to stay at home in their familiar surroundings when you go off on holiday. Clare’s Pet Care can make that happen. Clare will visit your home twice a day (morning and evening) to see to it that all your cat’s needs are catered for including a cuddle and a play.
This service is available 7 days a week for cats, rabbits, chickens and most other domestic pets.
Small Animal Boarding
Any animal that can travel in its own cage is welcome to come to our home for its very own holiday.
Pet Taxi
If you need assistance taking your pet to the vet or pamper parlour Clare is able to help with this.
Home Security
The security of your home while you are away, on holiday or business, is of up most importance to Clare’s Pet Care service. To ensure your home remains secure in your absence:
- An unmarked vehicle is used for all home visits
- Post will be removed from the door mat
- Bins can be put out on the correct day and put away once they have been emptied.
- Curtains and lights can be alternated
- Plants watered
All of the above home security measures can be provided even if you don’t have a pet, just give me a ring to make arrangements.
All times given are actual walking/running times and do not include travel time so your dog can be out of the house for up to 2 hours. At the end of any outing your dog will be returned home, given a toilet break (any parcels produced will be scooped up and placed in the bin) and then towel dried if required. Their water bowl will be topped up and any other routine you require, such as feeding can be followed.
While Clare is visiting your home she can also ensure your home is safe while you are away by clearing the doormat of post, watering plants, checking windows, putting on and off lights, opening and closing curtains and putting the bin out.
